GREAT REASONS TO BECOME AN SEAW MEMBER

Networking: SEAW has over 700 members; over half are registered SEs

Continuing Education: High-quality seminars at a great price along with papers, regular meetings, and SE Refresher Course

Professional Contribution: Have an impact on the engineering community, codes and policies through committees and task groups

Code Influence: Strong tradition in engaging with and influencing local and national code committees

Community: Build strong relationships with your peers through meetings, volunteer opportunities, and regional conferences

MEMBERSHIP LEVELS

Member SE: Registered structural engineer in the state of Washington and regularly engaged in the practice of structural engineering at the time of application.

Member PE: Registered professional engineer or architect licensed to practice in the state of Washington.

Associate: Graduate of an approved engineering school or college, and not yet licensed in the state of Washington.

Affiliate: Individual engaged in a profession which cooperates with structural engineers in the advancement of professional knowledge, practice, and welfare.

Student: Individual currently enrolled full-time in an approved engineering program. (Student membership in SEAW is free.)

Life: A member in good standing for at least 20 consecutive years who is age 65 or older or is retired. Do you qualify? Email the association office with your request for consideration of Life membership.

SEAW members belong to the statewide organization through a local chapter:

Seattle: Seattle/Bellevue/Everett area

Spokane: Greater Spokane area

Southwest: Tacoma/Olympia area

South Central: Tri-Cities/Yakima area
