GLR Engineers is seeking applicants for a structural engineer position in our Spokane, WA office. The applicant shall have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the field of structural consulting design. Desired experience shall consist of working with multiple types of building materials, project types and the ability to contribute on multiple projects and deadlines. The selected applicant will be expected to produce structural calculations required for permit submittals, work with GLR’s in-house drafting department to produce construction drawings, coordinate with architectural clients and other design team members, and succeed in operating in a team environment. Knowledge of Revit modeling is a plus. Applicant must be self-motivated with a strong drive to learn and expand their knowledge base.

CP&A is looking to hire full-time Structural Engineers focusing on structural steel design. We are a unique multi-discipline engineering firm focusing on cranes and one-of-a-kind structures. We take basic structural engineering principles and code requirements and apply them to atypical structures such as a container crane or ship building crane. We have served clients all around the world; as you progress here, opportunities for international travel will present itself.

Your responsibilities will include design and review of structures from concept through construction and working with contractors and providing construction support. You will prepare code-based criteria and develop and debug math models. You will be able to work on a variety of projects, though the primary focus will be on cranes and ports. Technical responsibilities include but are not limited to: Designing connections, finite element analysis, and AutoCAD drafting.
