Andrew Boileau earned the BSCE from Washington State University in 1999.

Beginning in 2000 he worked briefly as a pre-manufactured truss designer in Fife and as a design engineer with Alpine Engineered Products in Tacoma, then with PCS Structural Solutions 2001-03, and beginning in 2003 with Sitts & Hill Engineers, Tacoma.
