Daniel L. Booth attended the University of Washington, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Civil Engineering in 1986 and an MS in Civil Engineering (structural engineering emphasis) in 1988. An SEAW scholarship supported his studies, along with UW Valle scholarships.

In 1988 Dan started at AHBL, Tacoma. He earned his civil license in 1992 and his structural license in 1995. Dan became a principal of AHBL in 2003. Throughout his career, he has worked on a wide range of project types, including municipal, industrial, educational, recreational, and commercial projects.
