Jennifer Ahlport earned the BSCE 2007 and the MSCE 2008 from the University of California at Berkeley, where she also served as a graduate student instructor.

She interned in San Francisco with Kiewit in 2006 and Rutherford & Chekene in 2007 before relocating to Seattle, where she worked with Degenkolb Engineers.

With SEAW in roles as President and Vice-President of the Younger Members Forum/YMF, Jenny helped organize the SEAW booth at the PSEC Engineers Week Fair for 5 years, volunteered and organized events with Habitat for Humanity, and participated in SEAW board meetings to provide a conduit for information between the board and the younger members. The 2013 President's Award recognizes Jennifer's helping support a strong surge of younger members joining the organization, and also assisting the transition from the student world to professional practice.
