Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Sammie M. Boydston received his Civil Engineering degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1970.

Following work with the Kansas Highway Commission Bridge Division and in several consulting engineering firms, Sammie started his own firm, Boydston Engineers, located in Deer Park, in 1983.
