Steve Hawk took a degree in Physics from University of Puget Sound in 1993, then earned the BSCE and MSCE (1996) from Washington State University.

He worked with Coffman Engineers, Spokane, beginning 1996. He also taught at Gonzaga University 2007-09 as an Adjunct Professor of Civil Engineering.
